Sign in with your Rivian account and it logs every drive with a route map, every charging session with its cost (home charging included), your efficiency, battery health, and software updates — on the web at app.rivnly.com and in the Rivnly iPhone app. There’s no hardware to install and nothing to self-host. The free plan covers the basics; Premium is $4.99 a month.

Your email and password are encrypted with Fernet (AES-128-CBC) before being written to the database. The encryption key lives in a server environment variable, not in code or the database. We never log credentials.

Upgrade whenever you want more, downgrade or cancel whenever you don't. A web subscription is managed in Rivnly Settings; one bought in the iPhone app is managed in your iPhone's Settings under your Apple Account. Your data stays intact if you drop back to Free — you just see a 30-day window instead of full history until you upgrade again.

Premium unlocks on the web and on your iPhone wherever you sign in to the same Rivnly account, and Apple handles billing, renewals, and cancellation.

Every R1S, R1T, and R2 — both Gen 1 and Gen 2 of the R1 series. If your vehicle shows up in the Rivian mobile app, it'll show up in Rivnly.

Rivian doesn’t record a cost for home charging, so Rivnly asks for your electricity rate in Settings and suggests your state’s average residential price from the U.S. Energy Information Administration. Each home session is priced from the energy it added, with a small allowance for charging losses, and shown as an estimate. Change your rate later and earlier sessions keep the rate that applied at the time.

Your Rivian reports its own estimate of usable battery capacity. Rivnly records it every day and compares the last 30 days with your first 30 days on Rivnly, so the score appears after about two months. It measures change since you started tracking, not against a brand-new pack, and Rivian’s estimate recalibrates by a percent or two, so readings a little over 100% are normal.

Yes, on the free plan. Pick a level from 10% to 50% in Settings → Notifications, and Rivnly sends one alert when your Rivian drops below it — parked or driving, at home or away, with the app closed. It won’t alert while you’re plugged in, and it re-arms once you’re back above the level. Alerts arrive as iPhone push notifications by default, with email optional.

Yes, on the free plan. On the 1st of each month Rivnly emails a report of the month before: miles driven, number of drives, efficiency, energy added, charging cost, and your longest drive with a map, each compared with the previous month. Turn it off any time in Settings → Notifications.

We update Rivnly. The API has changed a handful of times and we've shipped fixes quickly. Because the API is unofficial, we can't guarantee zero downtime — but we watch for breakages and respond fast.

Yes, with phone-key enrollment. Most commands require Bluetooth proximity (a Rivian security constraint), but WAKE_VEHICLE typically works remotely.

In a managed Postgres database hosted in the US with daily backups and encryption at rest. Every query is scoped to your account — your data never mixes with anyone else's.
